Fusia was asked to speak at the opening dedication ceremony of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington DC.

Fusia and Joe had one of the greatest privileges of their lives meeting the President and First Lady of the United States.

Fusia’s and Helena’s  photo are on permanent display in the “Rescuers” section of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.  This photo was taken of Fusia in front of that display.

It was cold on the dais in Washington DC on April 23, 1993.  Fusia is warmed by Vice President Gore – from the look on his face, not sure that Joe liked that!
